My Purse

My sister (at http://www.thequickclan.blogspot.com/) tagged me in her post of what is in your purse. You can visit her site if you want to see her original post, you just have to scroll down a bit because she did this at the beginning of June and unlike me she is not a blog slacker.

Her description of me and why she wanted to see in my purse had me laughing out loud especially when I emptied my purse after running a bunch of errands. This is her reasoning for wanting to snoop in my bag.

"My sister, Michelle - this ought to be good - this a girl who wore heels thru her entire pregnancy, did abs up until the day before she had her son, and still wears heels everywhere we go while pushing a stroller and breastfeeding."

So to be completely honest I wasn't going to do this because I am total blog slacker and haven't given any Ethan updates lately (and there are lots coming) but Jeff even commented on how random the items in my purse are!

So here you go this is my purse in all its glory! Always tossed on the bottom of the stairs when I get home.

And here is all the stuff that was in there

Water, wallet, credit card holder, make up holder, powder compact, 4 tubes of lip gloss, lip liner, 3 tubes lipstick, 1 tube chapstick, 3 pens, 2 sets of car keys for the same car (don't know why?), house keys, cap to the pacifier, 2 hair ties, 9 bobby pins, cell phone (for once, I always forget it!!), the sleeve to for my coffee cup, sunglasses, hair brush, receipts (I need to get my dry cleaning), bra (yes, that is really in there...kinda embarrassing...but it is usually in there about half thru my errands when I have to nurse Ethan and then stays there...apparently I have no shame anymore, and my sweatshirt because it is super cold here! There were flip flops in there too but I had to use them before I got the picture taken!!

Hope you enjoyed this Meg!!

E's 1st swim

Ethan went swimming in Grandmy and Grandpy's new pool. I am sure this is the 1st of many swims this summer.

A little unsure of the pool at first
Once he was in for a minute he loved the pool. He would start splashing and once the water hit him in the face he would stop and look around, to see who did that to him and then he would start splashing again! Silly boy!!

Playing inside after the pool
Hungry and very tired!!!

Chicken Allergy

Check out the excema rashes!!

I think it was the chicken, he broke out in the rash the day after I ate chicken each time. I was hoping the first rash was caused by the dTap shot but after having chicken a second time, the correlation to the rash and chicken might be too obivious...I just wish it wasn't true. And the chicken was cooked with nothing other than salt and pepper which we know he is okay with!!

Well, I guess once he clears from this allergy attack we will try lettuce, maybe some mushrooms, carrots, celery or other veggies. Poor kid, I just pray he out grows these 'intolerances'....but also praying they are intolerances and not allergies!!

Ethan's 4 Months Old!!

Ethan had his 4 month well baby appointment and his 1st appointment with the GI doctor.

At his 4 month baby well check we got his current stats:

Height: 27 inches (95%)
Weight: 15lbs 3 oz (60%)
Head: Average (that's all the doctor said)

And his GI appointment was productive and nice to hear encourage advice. The color or his stools looks good but still too much mucous. She sent us home with a bunch of labs that need to be done on his stools. So with a plastic spoon we had to fill up the vials...yuck!! And then yesterday they called and said they are missing one of the test so we need to do it again...seriously!! Hopefully those results will be back soon and help give us some guidance on how he is doing and what we should be doing to help him.
The GI doc also said to continue breastfeeding and keep doing my total elimination diet (TED) but I can try to add in chicken and shrimp. We tried chicken the other day but it was the same day as his dTap shot and the next day he had a rash all over his stomach. So I will try chicken again on Sunday night to see if the reaction was to the shot or to the chicken. The foods I am currently eating are turkey meat, potato, rice, zucchini, oatmeal, banana, peaches, avocado and salmon. I would love to add chicken into that mix...wish us luck.
We did try egg and corn syrup (I really wanted some jelly beans on Easter) and both caused crazy excema rashes...so we haven't had any luck with new foods yet! Hopefully that will change soon.
Well, that is our update for now. Not too many changes on the allergies/intolerances but Ethan is healthy and happy and right now that really is what matters!!

Easter

I know Easter was a couple weeks ago but it is an excuse to post cute pics of Ethan and my family!!

We're Pregnant

Well, we were a year ago! We will never forget the day we found out, it was an answered prayer! We found out as we were leaving for the kings game on April 11 but didn't tell anyone until we got the best call ever. It was from the fertility clinic saying "Congratulations, your pregnant"!!

After so many failed attempts finally a congratulations, we are still to this day speachless and beyond blessed to have Ethan in our lives.

It was Saturday April 13, 2008 that it became official, we were pregnant!! That day also happens to be my moms bday.

So i made her a card that said on the outside...
"Sorry you have to wait for your present this year......"

And on the inside the card read
"But one or two of us decided to stick around"

(yes one of these embroyos is Ethan!!)

"And we will be here around Decemeber 22, 2008"

This is a video of us telling my Mom and Dad we were pregnant, I love it!! Enjoy!!
