WE'RE GOING GREEN!!

Well, we tried!!! Jeff decided to try out a fluorescent light bulb in our front light of the living room, I came home from work and immediately turned the light off! That was the worst glow of a light I have ever seen. The pictures seem to make it somewhat pleasant but really...it wasn't!!

So until they come up with another way we will continue to use our energy burning bulbs, drive out sporty car and purchase an SUV! But to make up for all our environmental harm I will continue to recycle my wine bottles!!

Foot Update

Well the foot seems to healing a little. I was able to go to the gym and actually ride the bike for about 15 minutes. The past fews weeks once I walk in and do some weights my foot is killing me, so this has been a good improvement. I am still sporting the boot as my foot is still swollen and hurts if anything is too thight around it. I go back to the doctors after Thanksgiving for an X ray to be sure it is healing, but overall it looks a lot better!

Beach House

We arrived at the Beach House on Wednesday and it was super foggy and rain was in the forecast for Friday and Saturday so we weren't too hopeful on being able to spend a lot of time at the beach. But Wednesday night we made a good dinner and indulged in some wine and movies.

On Thursday we headed into Mendocino to cruise some little shops and check out the town. We went to lunch at this total dive but it had an awesome view of the ocean. At one point out the window from the resturant there was a bird fluttering above us and I told Jeff to check it out and was curious becuase I had never seen a bird fly like that before! Well, we took pictures to show you all but once Jeff pointed out that the bird is on a string...the light went on!


Friday was awesome weather it was hot!! No need for the fire we need some cold air in the house. We went to the beach and took a long walk. Our foot prints in the sand looked so funny I wished we had brought the camera, my boot didn't leave a mark in the sand so there was our trail of only 3 foot prints. Then we went went back down again later (no camera again) it was low tide and I we went over to the tide pools only to remember I am a gimp and can't go on adventures but on the way back to the car there was a huge starfish in the shallow water. It had 22 arms....I have never seen such a thing....I made Jeff count them with me...it was amazing!

Saturday it rained the entire day! It was nice to stay in, watch movies and read books and not feel like we should be somewhere or be doing something. It was such a fun day! We went in the spa in the rain and I kicked Jeff's butt at Phase 10!

Happy Halloween!

My family was over for dinner on Saturday and I pulled out a costume I made in college. Yes, I sewed, cut and glued all these pieces together. And just like any potato head the pieces are movable. I wore it to work last year so its no fun to do a repeat performance and I am letting my cousin Kaitie wear it! I am sure she will get good use out of it!

3 1/2 Years!

Happy Anniversary Jeff!! Today is 3 1/2 years. I just thought I would acknowledge the day and send a little love your way! I Love you!

This will make your stomach turn!

This morning the yellow steri strip fell off and the stitches are now exposed. It is disgusting and I am a huge baby when it comes to this. Here are a couple pictures for those of you with strong stomachs!

Another Day Recovering

Well, today my parents headed home and Jeff and I have tried to be lazy on the couch. But I am not so good at sitting still. For example today I thought I would get some of the magazines out of the closet and I totally lost my balance and feel into the basket in the closet. Jeff had to come over and pick me up to get me back on my foot and I walked away with a nice scrape to my arm for which Jeff had to get me a big band aid...woops..... I am such a klutz!

However, the main event of today was that I was finally allowed to shower and take off the gauze from surgery. The cut is a longer than I thought it would be but you can't really see to much because the doctor covered it up with a "steri strip."

Family Visit

After surgery my family came over to visit and "babysit" while Jeff went out with some friends. And yes, I felt like the babysitter had arrived when my sister, Jason and Jacob walked in the door. Jeff was on his way out the door and gave my sis the details for taking care of me and I quote:

1. She had her meds at 9:30 so make sure she takes more around 1:30
2. Don't let her go upstairs
3. Make sure she keeps her leg elevated...

hello...I am right here...I know even if I don't listen....but thanks for looking out for me!

Well, it was a fun day...my parents arrived shortly after Meg and then my Aunt and Grandma came over to see the baby. I still wasn't feeling great and was trying to get over the sickness and tiredness that had me down all day on Friday, but I was feeling much better overall on Saturday.

I posted some pics of the day. It was a fun and it was nice to have everyone here to babysit me since that included cooking dinner and cleaning while I watched more tv.

Thank you guys for everything it was fun to have people to keep me company and not care that I hadn't showered in 3 days (doctor orders)!!
